What's new with LiveBall, post-click marketing and everything in between.

No statistics degree required

With Bobby Rigano, Stanford alum and statistics extraordinaire, working behind the scenes on LiveBall, you can be sure that a vast array of valuable performance metrics are just a few clicks away. And for those not quite as mathematically inclined as Bobby, fear not; as long as you're on Team LiveBall, you can say goodbye to the headache that comes with testing the performance and effectiveness of your online marketing campaigns and hello to the ability to quickly and easily edit landing experiences in response to campaign results.

When Bobby was originally hired at ion interactive, ion President/CTO Scott Brinker knew his strong statistics background would eventually play a role in the development of LiveBall. And it has.

As Principal Software Engineer, Bobby works closely with Scott to conceive, design, and develop performance metrics in LiveBall.  He is always looking to provide useful, concise, and valuable information about campaigns that will ultimately result in improved conversion rates. For LiveBall users and managers, the more information they have access to about campaign performance, the easier it is for them to tweak, edit, and improve those campaigns in real time.

For instance, one of Bobby's most recent undertakings has been adding a path confidence interval display to LiveBall, so that LiveBall managers can quickly and easily determine the reliability of a path's conversion rate. Clearly, Bobby's Stanford statistics background played a major role in the development of this gauge.

Bobby also worked on developing the respondent funnel gauge, which gives a simple view of how respondents are responding and reacting to landing experiences.

Note that the top of the funnel displays the number of respondents, the second level shows how many respondents segmented (or continued on their path), and the bottom level shows how many converted.

Other projects Bobby worked on include implementing the ability to easily calculate the CPA (cost per conversion) so LiveBall users can determine if their campaigns are cost-effective, as well as bubble chart gauges that easily show the number of respondents for a campaign or single landing experience.

With Bobby's help, LiveBall users and managers are able to test and analyze landing experiences with ease: no statistics degree (or calculator) required.
