If you've ever been to a trade show, you're probably familiar with the often monotonous tone of them. Booth after booth. Slogan after slogan. Logo collared shirt after logo collared shirt.
So, when we head to trade shows to spread our passion for better landing experiences, we go as our alter ego, No More Landing Pages. And we try to have some fun with it too. Last April we protested bad landing pages in front of the Moscone Center at ad:tech SF. In case you're new, here is video of it on YouTube.
How could we top a mob of angry protesters at ad:tech NY? Bring our own superheroes, of course! The very almighty duo of Mr. LiveBall & ConversionGirl fought forces against the evil Landing Page Man (realistically, Landing Page Man never stood a chance) among 3 floors of suits and ties at ad:tech NY. Thankfully, ConversionGirl succeeded in defeating bad landing experiences and increasing conversion quality with the help of her powerful sidekick.
Regularly accosted by adoring fans, Mr. LiveBall & ConversionGirl (and yes, even Landing Page Man) signed autographs and posed for Polaroid pictures with ad:tech attendees. They also made regular appearances at the popular No More Landing Pages cybercafe, where ad:techers could actually defeat a standup of Landing Page Man and win prizes.
While Mr. LiveBall & ConversionGirl have beamed back to the galaxy PCM 10x to regenerate their conversion-focused powers, we're headed back to ad:tech San Francisco in April 2008. And we have something brewing. Get excited.
